Obituary of Annabell Folnsbee

Annabell Folnsbee, age 79, of Painted Post, NY went Home to be with her husband and sons on Saturday, May 6, 2017 at Corning Hospital, Corning.

Annabell was born on February 3, 1938 in Corning, NY, the daughter of the late Carl and the late Annabell (Reep) Ribble. She married Donald Folnsbee on November 26, 1960 at Grace United Methodist Church. She was predeceased by her husband on March 1, 2017.

She was employed as an assembly line worker for Corning Glass Works, retiring after 20 years of service, recently receiving her 40 year pin. Annabell will be remembered for her funny, outspoken and outgoing personality and her love of meeting new people. She loved playing BINGO - always attending Friday night BINGO in Elmira Heights. She enjoyed puzzles, playing Yahtzee and watching the NY Mets. Her greatest joy came from her family. She was a true matriarch and will be missed dearly.

She is survived by two daughters: Dawn (Jack Kilburne) Folnsbee of Polk City, FL, April (Dennis) Pratt of Whitebluff, TN; sister, Amanda Lunger of Baldwinsville, NY; brothers: Danny Ribble of Corning, NY, Richard Ribble of Corning, NY; brother-in-law, Harold Folnsbee of Corning, NY; grandchildren: Sam and Brian Rose, Duane, Jen, Ryan and David Monroe, Jr., Patrick Folnsbee, Tracy (Neil) Myers, Samantha Folnsbee, Karrie (Mike) Lewis, Melissa (Tommy) Patterson and Michelle Cones; and several nieces and nephews.

In addition to her husband, Annabell was predeceased by sons: Donald "Butch" Folnsbee, Jr., and William "Billy" Folnsbee; sisters: Annadean Colburn, Nora Abbey, Addie Slaven, Pearl Hively, Shirley Rovolo; and brothers: Fred Ribble and Carl Ribble, Jr..

A celebration of Life will be held at the Corning Moose Lodge, 96 Victory Highway, Painted Post on Friday, May 12, 2017 from 12:00 PM to 4:00 PM. Phillips Funeral Home & Cremation Service, 17 W. Pulteney St., Corning has been entrusted with the arrangements.

In lieu of flowers, donations in Annabell's name may be made to the family to assist with expenses.
