Mark F. Heineman, age 54, of Corning, passed away unexpectedly on Saturday, April 15, 2017. He was born on October 29, 1962 in Elmira, the son of Henry and Shirley (Sickler) Heineman.
Mark graduated from Horseheads High School in 1981 and later graduated from Corning Community College in 1985. He was employed by Kimble Inc Mechanical Contractors of Elmira and he was a member of Local 267 Union Pipefitters and Steamfitters. Mark was a master journeyman with 34 years of service and he was a hard worker respected in his profession. He enjoyed dirt track racing, motorcycles, canoeing trips and spending time with Sarah and Erin.
He is survived by his daughter, Sarah C. (Kraig Baker) Heineman, step daughter, Erin (Charles) Devine, sisters, Nancy (David) Bohlayer and Sally J. (Martin Gush) Heineman, nephew, Eric Paluch, and niece, Alicia Beard. Mark was predeceased by his father, Henry Heineman and mother and step father, Shirley and Stanley Kimble.
Family and friends are invited to call at Phillips Funeral Home & Cremation Service, 17 W. Pulteney St., Corning, on Thursday, April 20, 2017 from 4:00 to 7:00 pm. A celebration of Mark's life will directly follow at 7:30 pm at the Corning American Legion, 8 River Road, Corning.
