Funeral Service: Phillips Funeral Home & Cremation Service, Corning, NY BiographyA 1985 graduate of Corning-Painted Post West High School, she earned degrees in engineering from Corning Community College and Pennsylvania State University in Erie, PA. A lover of life and the arts, she is known in the Augusta, GA area for her work in local theatre, and for her commission paintings in local Augusta businesses. Her life works include an extended period of residential rehabilitation in New Orleans after Hurricane Katrina. Never did a stray dog or cat cross her path, that did not soon find a healthy, warm and loving home. Paula leaves parents Moira and Milton (Bud) French of Painted Post, NY; brother, Mel(vin) Perry French, sister-in-law, Mei (Amy) French, a niece, Aishah French all of Hauppauge, NY; and her fianc, John Kirk of St. Louis. She is also missed by extended family in Corning, Campbell, and Slough, England. A private Memorial Service will be held at Phillips Funeral Home & Cremation Service in Corning. Because of Paulas love for animals, memorial donations may be made in her name to the Society of the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals, www.spca.com . |
