Funeral Service: Thursday, January 28, 2010 11:00 AM Phillips Funeral Home & Cremation Service, Corning, NY Visitation: Wednesday, January 27, 2010 5-7 PM at Phillips Funeral Home & Cremation Service, Corning, NY Interment: West Hill Cemetery, Painted Post, NY BiographyJosephine enjoyed sewing, baking, and collecting Elvis memorabilia. She also enjoyed her flowers around her home. She is survived by her daughter, Deborah (Milton) Tanner of Avoca; three sons: Walter (Wendy) Cook, III of Rushford, NY, Jonathan (Angela) Cook of Campbell and Mark (Cathy Smellowsky) Cook of Elmira; two sisters: Evelyn Johnston and Mary Weaver both of Carlisle, PA; two brothers: Arthur Weaver of Carlisle, PA, and Russell (Bernice) Weaver of St. Thomas, PA; Grandchildren: Daniel Eaton, Jonathan David Cook, Heather Cook, Kristin Cook, Ashley Cook, and Margaret York; several nieces, nephew, and cousins; sisters-in-law: Esther Stanton of Painted Post, Ruth (Melvin) Smith of Penfield, NY, and Grace (Charles) Campbell of VA. Josephine was predeceased by her sister-in-law, Doris Myers, and a brother-in-law, Mahlon Cook. Calling hours will be Wednesday, January 27th from 5-7 PM at Phillips Funeral Home & Cremation Service, 17 W. Pulteney Street in Corning where funeral services will be on Thursday, January 28th at 11:00 AM with Rev. James Hall officiating. Burial will be in West Hill Cemetery, Painted Post. |
